Ten years ago this weekend, I had a full Saturday of Fall Mini Sessions at Weston Bend State Park. My calendar was full of sessions & editing took up most of my time at home. I was very thankful for the opportunity to capture so many folks and their families.
The next day, I found my mom after she fell.
For WischDesigns, I had to make some adjustments to sessions & gallery expectation times. Clients understood & I appreciated that so much. I was able to spend most of my time with her those last few months.
After she passed that next January, I didn’t rush right back into anything. If you’ve ever lost someone important to you, you know that you don’t just get over it. Grieving takes time & it’s different for everyone & every situation.
A lot has happened in the last 10 years. And while WischDesigns has made a few changes, it’s still very much a big part of my life. But I don’t stay up late, into the morning hours editing. I don’t schedule when I know my kids will be all together. And I just don’t have a lot of time to post on social media due to the time it takes to create & prepare the images.
When I put the information out this fall about mini sessions, I was hoping for two, maybe three sessions.
The response I got was overwhelming.
I may not get all the previews posted or the reels flashing in front of you on social media. And while I realize this image is a picture of a gorgeous Cottonwood from my phone….(peep the thumb in the frame, which my mom was famous for so I’m sure she’d appreciate that ☺️), I’m still very much still out here capturing all the beautiful moments.
As I wrap up this weekend & send previews out to all the families I saw this weekend, I’m so very thankful for all my past & present clients, this WischDesigns community, & my family.
And I just wanted to say THANK YOU. ❤️
