Thursday nights are our training nights. Over the last few weeks we have been conducting hose testing. This involves testing every section of hose we have at high pressure. It means unloading and reloading every truck after testing. This is a very time consuming and tedious process. We would like to thank all of our firefighters for their commitment to keeping our community safe.

Here is a breakdown of our responses for May 2026.

Today, Fire Chief Loyd Hutzel presented challenge coins to Eston Capella and Isaiah Mahone in recognition of their heroic actions at Lake Catherine this afternoon. When a friend jumped into the water and began to struggle, Eston and Isaiah acted quickly and selflessly to bring them safely back to shore.
Their courage and willingness to help in a time of need made a real difference. We are grateful for their unselfish actions and proud to recognize them for their outstanding efforts. Thank you, Eston and Isaiah, for stepping up when it mattered most.
LifeNet responded to the scene but the victim did not require transport.
