Introducing Chex Dun Better, a remarkable horse available for purchase. Chex is a 5-year-old Dunskin standing at 15.1 to 15.2 hands high and weighing around 1200 pounds. I acquired Chex from a trusted friend, and since then, he has proven to be a versatile and reliable companion on the ranch.
Chex has excelled in various tasks, from checking fences to herding and sorting cows. He possesses natural cow sense and has been trained to track hotheels, rope in pastures, and trail cows when in pursuit. In sorting events, Chex demonstrates his determination by fearlessly biting a cow's rump to guide it through the gate. I even entrusted him with penning cattle at a stockyard, and he stood his ground admirably in tight situations.
Not only is Chex a skilled working horse, but he also shines in other disciplines. We participated in playdays where he showcased his talent in pleasure classes. We achieved 1st place in the musical feed sacks event and secured 4th place in the balloon pop, where it took a team of three to corner Chex and me before bursting our balloons.
Chex is equally impressive on the trails. He is an excellent trail horse, having encountered various terrains and obstacles. He fearlessly crosses creeks, ditches, and logs, and navigates rough rocky areas with ease. He is unfazed by traffic, whether it's trucks or cars. With a responsive handle, Chex smoothly neckreins and spins in both directions. He can lope off with just one step, execute slide stops, and back up effortlessly. His jog is reminiscent of Western pleasure, offering a comfortable and enjoyable riding experience. His lope is slow and easy, making it a pleasure to ride.
Chex has been exposed to a wide range of wildlife, including deer and turkey, and is unfaltering in his willingness to go wherever you ask him. He has covered many miles in mountainous terrains, conquering every obstacle encountered along the trail. He fearlessly tackles steep slopes, deep creeks, lakes, downed trees, and all types of rough terrain
