Operations Update: SMI 142-C Platform Removal đź“Ť
The Hedron arrived on location on 7/26/26 to begin decommissioning the 4-pile platform. The crew prepared the 560st deck, installed rigging, and safely secured it onto the material barge within three days. Following deck removal, the team cut and pulled the conductors, excavated the jacket legs, and completed internal cuts to prepare the structure for transport. The jacket was subsequently lifted, towed, and placed at the designated reef site as operations progressed toward final completion. 🛠️🌊

We’re seeking Barge & Yard Mechanics to join our team. Pay starts at $21.50/hr (rate dependent on experience.)
Have at least 5 years of offshore experience and solid hands-on knowledge with:
• Detroit & CAT diesel engines
• Manitowoc friction cranes
• Anchor winches
• Pipelay equipment
• Jet pumps
This role includes day-to-day maintenance, engine work, pump and crane repairs, generator knowledge, and keeping up with logs and preventative maintenance.
Requirements:
• 5+ years offshore mechanic experience
• 3+ years diesel mechanical experience
• Ability to obtain safety certifications

Still Seeking: Control Tower Operator
We are looking for a skilled Control Tower Operator to join our offshore team.
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 / hour (Dependent on Experience)

The Role:
• Serve as the communication hub between the bridge, vessels, deck crews, dive teams, and crane operators.
• Coordinate vessel traffic and anchor handling during heavy-lift and barge repositioning.
• Monitor anchor patterns, winch tensions, mooring configurations, and SIMOPS.

Requirements:
• Knowledge of offshore pipe-lay, marine construction, and anchor handling systems.
• Familiarity with the OARS Survey System is highly preferred.
• Strong multi-tasking and radio communication skills.

We are looking for a safety-minded Rigger to join our team, working alongside Crane Operators to ensure safe, efficient hoisting and material handling.
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $20.00 / hour (DOE)
Location: Offshore & Inshore operations
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Crane Operators with hoisting, rigging loads, and hand signals.
• Support boat off-loading (inshore/offshore), Bolt-ups, Hydro testing, and Blaster/Painters.
• Maintain a clean work area and work comfortably at heights of 6 feet and higher.
• Strictly follow all safety, production, and quality procedures.
Requirements:
• 1+ years of rigging experience.
• Strong knowledge of lift methods, tackle types, and weight capacities.
• Rigger’s certification (or ability to obtain one).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
