Socialite, Farida Sobowale, has explained why she attempted to commit su!cide by plunging into the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos on Thursday night, August 17.

In a viral voice note on social media, Farida said her marriage with another Lagos socialite, Demola Okulaja, that crashed two months after their N100 million wedding, caused her a lot of pain. She said after he walked out of their matrimonial home, she has been frustrated with many su!cidal attempts.

“Friends and families warned me not to go into the marriage. They told me tkhat the man only wanted my money but I was recalcitrant. It was love that pushed me into this.
