Most Davis-Bacon issues don’t start with payroll. They start before the first employee ever steps on the job site.

In my experience, the biggest compliance problems usually come from:

* Subcontractors not being onboarded correctly.
* Incorrect worker classifications.
* Missing labor compliance documentation.
* Waiting until payroll is due to address issues.

When those items are handled upfront, weekly certified payroll becomes much more manageable, and owners, general contractors, and subcontractors spend less time fixing problems later.

Compliance isn’t just about meeting a requirement, it’s about protecting the project, the contractor, and everyone involved.

Who would’ve thought this little girl would one day become an entrepreneur in the construction industry?

If I’m honest, there have been times when people saw my appearance before they saw my purpose.

They noticed the makeup, the heels, or the smile before they noticed the knowledge, the leadership, the resilience, and the years of hard work behind them.

What they couldn’t see were the early mornings, the late nights, the sacrifices, the lessons, the failures that became stepping stones, and the faith that carried me through every season.

Today, I’m grateful to lead businesses, serve clients across the construction industry, and help companies navigate complex compliance requirements. But my greatest accomplishment isn’t what I’ve built, it’s who I’ve become while building it.

I’ve learned that strength doesn’t always look the way people expect it to.

A woman can be kind and confident.
Graceful and determined.
Beautiful and brilliant.

Never underestimate someone because of how they look. The most powerful thing about a person is rarely what you see on the outside, it’s the character, perseverance, and purpose that live within them.

When I look at this little girl, I don’t just see where I started. I see God’s faithfulness. I see dreams I didn’t even know I had. And I see a reminder that our beginnings never determine our ending.

Here’s to every little girl who dares to become something no one expected. Keep dreaming, keep believing, and never let anyone else define what’s possible for your life.
