We have had a client inquiring about getting rid of collections for about $2,000 in order to qualify for a mortgage loan in order to purchase a home. Rather then

This may not happen every time depending on the issuer, your history with the issuer, how much of a significant change you want, etc👀 this will result in a soft inquiry and not show on your credit report🙏🏻

If they see inquiries from mortgage lenders, for example, they know you might be more motivated to pay without really questioning the debt since getting a mortgage and purchasing a home has such a time crunch
