My name is Sara and I am the owner of this page. I am half Ethiopian and half Sudanese and I currently live in Houston, TX. I am a wife, mom of two boys and a digital entrepreneur. I have been a stay at home mom for 11 years now and I love cooking, decorating and creating DIY projects and crafts. I decided to be a stay at home mom because I believe in always having one parent at home to take care

of the daily tasks while one parent works outside of them. But it hasn't always been so easy for us. We had to work hard to build ourselves up. My husband worked two jobs at times- one full-time, 60+ hours a week in addition to an overnight job. That is a lot and you we still struggled to make ends meet. Were living from pay check to pay check. My husband worked extremely hard to better our situation and life took a complete turn for us. His sacrifice paid off! And then it was my turn. I thought about what I could do to supplement my husband's income so that we weren't just depending solely on one income. I tried different businessed, but unfortunately, they didn't work out. One day, I happened to come across an ad on Facebook that offered training to teach me how to start my own digital business. I decided to watch the live webinar and I was very impressed! I'm always on social media because I love to blog about food and our daily life. But if I can generate income while I'm at it, why not?! It just felt right from the start and I knew it was for me! We are in a digital era, every business is currently online and if they aren't they won't last long. I love that I can create my own schedule and work from the comfort of my own home, bed or kitchen if I liked. And I never have to ask for permission for time off! I am my own boss and I am living life on my own terms! Christmas at the Kwendes was a huge success!! Thank all our family who traveled to celebrate with us, especially those who drove 4 hours only to be with us for just one day.

We thank the Lord for all his blessings and allowing us to host our family for the holiday.

We hope you enjoyed the Christmas holiday and got to spend quality time with your loved ones celebrating the birth of our savior.

First step to getting out of my comfort zone ✅🎉🎉

I was super nervous and messed up a little 😅. But still proud of this step I've taken that's scared for so long!!

"Comfort is your biggest trap and coming out of your comfort zone is your biggest challenge."

I know a lot of us can relate to that. I've been crippled with fear, worrying about how I sound and look. I let fear control me and it won for awhile.

Let's keep it real.. If we wait until things get better, it may never happen!

Here's to kicking fear and sending it back to sender as my mom-in-love would say.
