Tax laws have changed, and 2026 could look different for many taxpayers! 💰📋

Here are a few changes to know about:

✨ Standard deduction increased
• Single: $16,100
• Married Filing Jointly: $32,200
• Head of Household: $24,150

👶 Child Tax Credit: Up to $2,200 per qualifying child, with up to $1,700 potentially refundable through the ACTC.

💵 New deductions may apply for qualified tips, overtime, certain car-loan interest, and eligible seniors.

⚠️ These benefits have specific eligibility requirements and income limits—so don’t assume you qualify without reviewing your situation.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Child Tax Credit (CTC) vs. Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC): Know the Difference! 💰

Many taxpayers think these credits are the same—but they work differently!

✅ Child Tax Credit (CTC)
• Worth up to $2,200 per qualifying child under age 17
• Non-refundable – It can reduce the amount of tax you owe, but it won’t create a refund if your tax bill is already $0.
• Income begins to phase out at $200,000 for Single filers and $400,000 for Married Filing Jointly.

💵 Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)
• Refundable – You may receive up to $1,700 per qualifying child even if you owe little or no federal income tax.
• You must have at least $2,500 in earned income to qualify.
• The refundable amount is generally calculated as 15% of your earned income over $2,500, up to the maximum allowed.
