✨ Part Two: Kitchen Repaint & Refresh + new doors!
Next up for our client’s kitchen is fabricating all the door and drawer fronts.
To keep things organized, we break the kitchen into sections for easy labeling. We’ve got the height and width for the original doors, the interior opening for all cabinets with doors, and we include the depth for the drawers so we can switch out those slides to soft-close. We also indicate whether soft-close is needed, so basically throughout the entire kitchen.
Once we’ve created the new doors in our 3D render, we have the updated measurements for height and width. Then, we calculate the overlay, which helps us determine the right hinge sizes to accommodate for the larger doors. Chris jumps in to calculate the more specific measurements for the panels, rails, and stiles.
This part of the process takes some time, but since we make all the doors ourselves, we can customize each one to fit your space perfectly. Once all the doors are done, the detail work begins, followed by painting.
