Mayer Security Services

Featured in the Houston Business Journal.
Before the suit and the licenses: combat interpreter in Afghanistan, U.S. Marine, then physical security startup founder.
Today Mayer Security Services protects over $2 billion in critical infrastructure, commercial assets, and high net worth families across Texas.
Our doctrine is simple. Force is a failure of foresight. Violence telegraphs, and we train officers to read it and shut it down before it starts. Not warm bodies. Not intimidation. Professionals who think.

Most security companies tell you they’ll get back to you.

We’d rather get boots on the ground.

Need security? Get a quote on our website in about 3 minutes. In most major Texas cities, we can have an officer on-site in about an hour.

Because when your business has a problem, waiting until tomorrow isn’t an option.

Every officer is backed by live-stream body cameras, our proprietary guard tracking system, and real-time reporting, so you always know what’s happening at your property.

No guessing. No excuses. Just security that’s accountable from the moment we arrive.

Serving Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and surrounding areas.

At Mayer Security, we believe effective training has to reflect real-world violence, not just square-range performance.

This article breaks down why situational awareness matters more than pure speed, and why the Cross Failure Drill was built to pressure-test recognition, action, recovery, and target transition under stress.

If training only begins once the threat is obvious, it begins too late.

Just got back from two days with Rick Crawley at Achilles Heel Tactical in Georgetown, TX.
Every drill timed. Every round scored. No gray area.
I went in confident. Came out with a list of things to fix and a lot more respect for how high the standard actually is.
If you carry a fi***rm for work, this is the training you should be doing. Not the bare minimum annual qualification. Full write up at the link below:

Emergencies don’t reward hype, they reward reps + procedure.

This is how Mayer Security Officers build real-world readiness: deliberate scenario practice, disciplined fundamentals, and a clear SOP so performance stays consistent when stress spikes and seconds matter.

The stakes are real: In the U.S. (2023), 740 workers were killed by workplace “violent acts”, including 458 workplace homicides. Those homicides were 61.9% of violent-act deaths and 8.7% of all work-related fatalities.

“The hope is that because there is recording it will be enough of a deterrent.
Here is the ugly secret: most modern security systems are not built to protect you while you are still alive and screaming. They are built to show who was at fault once you are already on the ground.
What the sales people do not tell you is that this kind of faith is innocently foolish. The impulsive, antisocial criminal who is out looking for targets of opportunity does not have the same sense of long-term self preservation as the average normie shuffling between a cubicle, a Starbucks line, and their annual HR training video. They are not thinking about policy, paperwork, or what the video will look like in court.”
