⚠️ Winter Weather Preparedness
North Texas ⚠️

North Texas is expected to experience winter weather this Saturday, and preparation is key to keeping your family, employees, and property safe.

At Archangel Security & Protection LLC, we encourage everyone to take proactive steps before conditions deteriorate.

❄️ Prepare Now:

• Monitor trusted weather sources and
local alerts
• Avoid unnecessary travel once
conditions worsen
• Fuel vehicles early and keep emergency
kits on hand
• Check generators, flashlights, and
backup power sources
• Secure outdoor items and inspect entry
points for drafts or vulnerabilities

🏠 Property & Business Readiness:

• Ensure lighting and security systems are
operational
• Address slip-and-fall hazards before ice
forms
• Confirm emergency contacts and
response plans
• Encourage staff to prioritize safety over
schedules

🚨 Personal Safety Matters:

• Dress in layers and protect exposed skin
• Check on elderly neighbors or those with
medical needs
• Never overload electrical systems or use
unsafe heating methods

Winter storms don’t require panic, but they do demand planning, awareness, and sound judgment.

Stay prepared. Stay informed. Stay safe.

🚨 Vehicle Safety Alert: What You Need to Know This Holiday Season

Criminals are using a not-so-new but increasingly effective scheme to capture the signal from your vehicle’s remote key fob and gain access to your car without ever breaking a window.

If you drive a vehicle with a hard key, consider using it, especially in public places. It’s one of the simplest ways to prevent tech-savvy offenders from intercepting your remote signal and cloning access to your vehicle.

As we head into the holiday rush, please stay alert while shopping and parking in crowded areas. A few seconds of prevention can save you thousands of dollars and endless headaches.

Please share this with someone you care about. Staying informed is staying safe.

Your car key fob can be duplicated with this new attack. Stay safe!

As we head into the holiday season, vehicle break-ins tend to rise, and most of them are crimes of opportunity. A few simple steps can dramatically reduce your chances of becoming a victim.

Whether you’re out shopping, visiting family, or working late through the holidays, please take a moment to protect yourself, your valuables, and your peace of mind.

Here are a few reminders that go a long way:

🔒 Lock your vehicle every time (doors and windows).

🎁 Keep valuables out of sight (bags, backpacks, electronics, wallets, purses).

💡 Park in well-lit, high-traffic areas whenever possible.

👀 Stay alert and report suspicious behavior immediately.

🔑 Don’t leave spare keys inside the vehicle or hidden in common spots.

🛡️ Use anti-theft devices or tracking tags to add another layer of protection.

🚫 Never leave your vehicle running unattended.

These small habits are among the strongest deterrents we have against Burglary of Motor Vehicles (BMV). Take care of yourself, your family, and your community this holiday season.

It always breaks my heart to see people needlessly taking the lives of others. There is a deeper despair for people who are injured and murdered for their desire to worship. No one should have to fear violence in a school or place of worship. Please join me in praying for those injured and killed in this latest act of unproked violence in Grand Blanc Michigan.

If you want to know more about house of worship security, read on and share.

A Guide for Houses of Worship: Building a Culture of Safety

In today’s world, faith based communities face challenges that require both spiritual care and practical preparedness.

Protecting your congregation doesn’t mean living in fear, it means creating an environment where worshippers can focus on worship while knowing their safety is a priority.

Here are 6 key considerations for any House of Worship:

1. Conduct a Risk & Vulnerability Assessment

Before forming a plan, it is important to identify where you’re most exposed.

Look at facility layout, entry points, parking lots, service times, and children’s areas and who has access to what.

This assessment is the first line of defense, providing the blueprint for all future safety measures.

2. Adopt the Sheepdog Mindset

Train capable volunteers and staff to be proactive protectors.

This role is about vigilance, compassion, and servant leadership.

3. Build a Trained Safety Team

Select trusted members and equip them with clear roles.

Training should cover de-escalation, medical emergencies, situational awareness and response to violent attacks.

4. Integrate Professional Standards

Use evidence-based models like ALERRT’s CRASE program (“Avoid, Deny, Defend”) to prepare your congregation.

Collaborate with local law enforcement for active threat response planning.

5. Prioritize Medical Preparedness

Emergencies aren’t always violent, they can also be health-related.

Train capable team members in CPR, AED use, and stop the bleed concepts.

6. Foster a Culture of Awareness

Encourage your congregation to notice and report concerns.

Awareness is the first step to prevention, and prevention is the best form of protection.

👉 A safe church is a welcoming church. When people know they are cared for body, mind, and spirit, they can truly focus on their faith and worship.

If your church is considering building or strengthening a security ministry, I’d be glad to share insights from my security and law enforcement background and the work we do at Archangel Security & Protection LLC.

Together, we can help ensure your houses of worship are both safe and welcoming.

Hoping everyone is preparing for the arctic blast that is heading our way. Please make sure you have plenty of perishable food and water, along with batteries for your devices. A good thing to have in case of power outages includes generators and fuel sources (gasoline or propane), blankets, and cellphone power banks that are charged and ready. Ensure your exterior water faucets and exposed pipes are covered along with your plants and gardens.

Drip interior faucets and if you think you need it, have a "water bob" filled with water in one of your bathtubs. You may also want to get some cash to have on hand. If the power is out, your bank cards will not be able to be run at stores unless they have an alternate power source.

Most of all, stay safe and do not be on the road unless it is an emergency. Wherever you need to go during this type of weather is not worth your safety or your life.

In light of Autism Awareness Month, we felt it important to share a resource that may be helpful to families with a loved one who has been diagnosed with Autism. Please share this to get these valuable resources out there.

Children with autism go missing under a variety of circumstances. They may seek out small or enclosed spaces. They may wander toward places of special interest to them. Or they may try to escape overwhelming stimuli such as sights, sounds, surroundings or activities of others.
