Day 3 of EC on the Vineyard was the “Breath of Freedom” Brunch hosted by truth and NAACP ! This event focused on a conversation around the current deconstruction of public health and its impact on Black America. Moderated by Ashley Allison featuring our amazing panelists including Derrick Johnson, Ashley Etienne, Dr. Kendric Dartis and Dr. Chris T. Pernell this panel explored current challenges and insight into our collective approach to facing them. Hosted at the beautiful Harborside Inn featuring an amazing menu was cultivated by Chef Ting at Black Joy Kitchen while vibes were curated by Miami’s own this event was one of the highlights of this year’s illumination week! Special shoutout to our brother Michael Blake and our friends at Atlas Strategy Group for their contributions to making this event a success!

Day 2 of EC On The Vineyard— Legacy & Innovation: A Vineyard Reception and Panel Discussion brought the conversation forward among best practices in creating a pipeline between K-12 Education to an HBCU Education. Panelists included HBCU Presidents, Charter Leaders connected to HBCU’s, and the Philanthropic community. Once again in partnership with and this event brought forth thought provoking discussion and a really good time. Hosted at the beautiful , this event welcomed national leaders across various issue areas.

EC on the Vineyard 2025 was a huge success. Today we highlight our first event, A Private Salon Dinner celebrating Black Educational Excellence where we welcomed Presidents of some our nation’s top HBCU Presidents and Black leaders of Charter School networks. In partnership with United Negro College Fund and National Charter Collaborative, the evening was a celebration of all that has been accomplished and all that is to come for Black students. We are proud to have partnered with these important organizations to bring this dinner to life.

In tough times, it’s easy to feel like progress is out of reach. But we’re here to remind you: we’re still fighting — and we’re still winning.

The DNC just made history — raising a record-breaking $40 million in the first 4 months under new Chair Ken Martin, powered by grassroots donors across the country.

This outpaces any previous DNC chair’s fundraising start — including nearly doubling the haul after Trump’s 2016 win.

Ken Martin says it best:
"This is only the start, but it's a record-setting start that allows Democrats to meaningfully invest in every part of the country."
