Rathjen Pest Control

Rathjen Pest Control Going strong since 1981! Rathjen Pest control was founded in January 1981 by Dick Rathjen, with ten years of experience in pest control service.

In June 1981, his son Tom joined the business, followed in July 1985 by his daughter Janet. We presently provide pest control service to the Houston Bay Area which includes Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Seabrook, Kemah, League City, Friendswood, Webster, Nassau Bay, and Clear Lake City. We specialize in providing service to residential customers, many of whom we have been servicing since we start

ed in 1981. We also provide service to offices, churches and private schools. In the last 28 years we have seen customers raise their children and seen many of those children get married, and establish new homes and families of their own. We now provide pest control service for many of them. Because we have been providing quarterly service to our customers for such a long period of time we like to think of them as our “family of customers”. If you do not want to live with pests in your home, please give us a call and find out how we can provide the care and protection your home and family deserves.

In the Learn something new category, saw this on a tree. It is a Cottonwood beetle. Was not familiar with it because most cities outlawed Cottonwood trees back in the 70's because they were ruining A/C units. It is a very large beetle that bores into the tree.
