"This was my autistic son putting up his felt Christmas tree today. After he decorated, he sat and cried for a while. After I asked him what was wrong, he replied, " I am sad because nobody will see my tree and all the hard work I have done " He then asked me could I post the image on my Facebook. So I obliged. With everything in hand, let's start with your closet. And, I know this sounds difficult, but take EVERYTHING out. Put your clothes on the bed, stack your shoes where you can see them and take out those purses. Let's be honest, don't you have a lot of things you are not wearing? After you clean the floors and wipe off the clothes racks, let begin putting your shoes back in. If you do not have a shoe rack, invest in one. It is a great way to keep your shoes organized and below the level of your clothes.

Let's start by getting together the cleaning tools you need, for example, for the bedroom you might need glass cleaner, furniture polish, a large trash bag, boxes for items that you will donate and a few cleaning rags. Put these in one container to carry with you from room to room.

Have you decided it's finally time to start getting organized? Before starting make a list of every room in your home and each space to organize within that room. For example, in the master bedroom, the list may include closet, chest of drawers, dresser, and these can be defined more such as closet: jewelry, shoes, clothes, etc. By making lists, you are taking steps to organizing your life one project at a time. Remember the old joke "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." The same holds true with organization, don't get overwhelmed with the whole picture, take a small project at a time and you'll be surprised how simple it can be.
