Today was a great day!

M. Cody Francisco and Sophie Macey are currently serving as co-chairs of the Lone Star College Interpreter Training Program Advisory Board, and today’s meeting was a powerful reminder of what collaboration can do.

We had an incredible turnout from across the community. We heard ideas and opinions from interpreters, school districts, RDSPDs, students, and college representatives.

Interpreter Training Programs are producing the future of this field. Supporting those future interpreters with high-quality education and guidance on their path to certification isn’t just important, it’s essential.

There’s a lot to be excited about, and it’s clear this group is committed to building something meaningful together.
