As Women’s History Month comes to a close, and as we also recognize National Reading Month, the Counselors of MentorScope Community Outreach would like to take a moment to honor and celebrate our leader, Ms. Anita Milson.
Working alongside her, we don’t just see the vision we see the work. The early mornings, the late nights, the constant problem-solving, and the unwavering commitment to people especially those who are often overlooked.
Through MentorScope Community Outreach, she has created life-changing opportunities for youth, but her impact doesn’t stop there.
We have watched her stand in the gap for agricultural producers walking alongside farmers and ranchers, helping them navigate systems that can often feel overwhelming. From grant writing to providing outreach and education to one-on-one technical assistance to connecting them with critical USDA resources, to ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to sustain and grow their operations making sure producers are not just included but empowered.
She listens to their stories.
She advocates for their needs.
She works tirelessly to make sure they are seen, supported, and successful.
And at the same time, she is building futures for the next generation through programs like AgHope Leadership Academy making sure youth understand that agriculture, business, and leadership are all within their reach.
In the spirit of National Reading Month, we also celebrate our leader as an author. Her book, “Wednesday’s Child,” is a powerful and heartfelt reflection that speaks to resilience, identity, and the lived experiences of youth navigating life’s challenges. It is more than a book it is a voice for those who often go unheard and a tool that continues to inspire, heal, and educate.
“Wednesday’s Child” is available for purchase and is being used as a meaningful resource in schools and communities to spark conversation, promote literacy, and empower young readers to see themselves beyond their circumstances.
What makes her leadership so powerful is that it’s real. It’s consistent. It’s selfless.
As her consultants, we are proud to serve with a leader who doesn’t just talk about change but does the work to make it happen.
As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we celebrate Ms. Anita Milson not just for what she has accomplished, but for the lives she continues to impact every single day.
