We moved out of TEXAS two months ago, sent my eldest off to college, filmed a bunch of YouTube videos, and had a blast !! Phew, life has been a little crazy to say the least, but I can’t wait to show you what I’ve done to our new rental.

Our Christmas was a bit crazy this year. With Covid & Cancer we had to quarantine for most of our winter break. Yesterday, we made the best of it & rang in the New Years together as a family!!

I love antiquing for many reasons...
One, because it reminds of my grandparents who have since left this life. ( sometimes when I go antiquing I look for this special reader set that my grandparents owned when I was younger. I loved it so much but unfortunately was never able to inherit it. )
Two, I get such a rush out of finding a good deal!
Three, I love to decorate my house with a combination of things of the past and from the present.
Lastly, I love learning about history through antiques.
Here are some cool pictures that I took of vintage cameras, books, and portable clocks that I found wandering at a shop that I like to visit from time to time.

I didn’t paint this piece to mirror the photograph on the cover because I needed to put my own spin on it. I’ve traveled to so many beaches over the years and have you ever noticed that no beach is exactly alike?! From the sand, the sea shells, and the color of water. It’s pretty fascinating!! I hope some time soon I’ll get to travel to a new beach but for now I’ll keep painting more beaches to occupy my time!

My current art piece that I’ve been working on since February looked like the first sketch. I painted it 1/4 of the way up but I just wasn’t feeling it. ( I forgot to take a picture ) After the girls checked the mail this week they gave me my new beach house catalog from .hardware ! I was so moved and in love with the amazing cover that I knew I had to paint it!!
