Story time. I had a trip planned to LA for the Canva Create conference, and after purchasing my flight I saw post a reel about a food tour in LA. So I added it to my agenda. And when I tell you it is a MUST if you go to LA! Daisy has top NOTCH customer service skills, and the food… my, my, my. I had to leave early because my flight was at 3:15pm 😫. But when I tell you I IN-joyed the food, the people, and the vibe!!

Yesterday I had a chance to celebrate my sister-friend before she becomes a Mrs 💍. Cheri and I have one of those connections where we rarely see each other, but somehow we always find ourselves praying together —> We will pick up the phone and pray together; I’ve gone to her house just to pray (and snack), and I think we’ve even prayed in HEB parking lot once! There’s nothing like friends who keep you lifted!

Side note: For every woman who’s ever forgotten that she is THAT GIRL - let this be your reminder. God has put something in each of us that makes you, YOU 🫵🏼… and that, my love… is exactly why YOU are THAT GIRL 🤍

Please. Please. Please. Before you purchase a new or used food truck — go to the municipality where you want to sell food — and review all requirements needed to pass inspection.

Story time. I know a young lady who moved from Tennessee to Houston with her food truck (that she’d been operating for years).. only to learn that her truck could not pass inspection in Houston.

Every municipality has different requirements. Please do your research before you spend thousands of dollars.

I could go on a rant about passing out samples, but today — I’ll try something different.

🤔 Food for thought —-> How many times have you walked through the food court at the mall and grabbed a sample of the bourbon chicken?

If its not broken, please don’t fix it. Samples work. Trust me! When I was a Marketing Manager for Nothing Bundt Cakes — a good portion of the marketing strategy was to pass out at least 100 samples per week. That truly drove traffic.

Create a sample strategy for your food truck and see how it drives traffic. Please keep me updated on your progress.

🗣️ PSA: Please get some friends who are from cold climates and own BIG coats! I had to take an impromptu trip to Edmonton, Canada where the temp said 0 degree! Thank God it warmed up!! My buddy Lindsay said I needed a coat that insulated up to 50 degrees — where was I going to find that in Houston!?!
