-Good News, by looking at the market the dollar is on the rise!
-Bad News 30 yr. mortgage rates have crept up to 4% and will probably continue.
-On The Lookout, it appears increasingly likely that policy makers will raise rates at their December meeting, one year since the last increase. The economy has continued to show signs of steady strength, and inflation may be starting to tick up. And the election was greeted positively by Wall Street, with the major indexes gaining more than 1 percent the day after the vote.

-Balancing Act, The election could be an added spur toward higher rates. The President Elect has promised to stimulate economic growth with measures that include a large tax cut and as much as $1 trillion in spending on infrastructure. He has also proposed new barriers to imports, which could drive up inflation.

If you've been thinking about Selling, Buying, or even Leasing a new home, now is the time. While these new changes look to strengthen our economy and the value of the dollar there is still no substitute for good planning.

The Real Estate Market in the Clear Lake / Bay Area is alive and well. It is more of a Buyers Market this time of year due a lower inventory and less competition for great properties still available. The Houston single-family sales market is holding its’ own – and it appears the market will close out 2016 similar to 2015 EXCEPT there was a 16% increase in pending sales this October over last October so the Houston market could end 2016 a little better than 2015.
