Here’s what I have observed: women are SCARED TO DATE INTENTIONALLY! Women are terrified of not finding the one, so they cling to the first man that gives them any energy, even if it’s just a little bit or it’s toxic. At least it’s something.

This is a pattern that you will stay in until you recognize how it’s holding you back from a healthy love. Stay in the field.

We like to demonize this quality in men, but it’s an “it is what it is” fact about their biological hardwiring and NATURE. Men possess who they want, no questions necessary.

“What are we?” is an insecure question and he knows it.

He’s not lacking clarity about you. He’s clear on the fact that he doesn’t want you, but you are allowing him to pass time with you until he finds who he wants, so he is.

He either does not see you as the woman for him or he is emotionally unavailable. Either way, your only move is to go on about your business or you WILL get your heart broken. Recall your value as a woman and get back in the field.

When dating, you’re going to meet more people that you are NOT aligned with than you are. That’s the numbers game, but you only need to get it right once. You don’t need every man you like to choose you and every man you have a cool connection with isn’t the one. Desperation for a relationship will have you begging for a man that doesn’t want you.

You have to heal the part of you that chases what is running from you.

Your appearance is what pulls them in…

Not your personality. Not your humor. Not your brilliance.

That doesn’t get calculated until later.

And the fact is that the more successful a man is, the more options he has available to him, the heavier he weighs LOOKS. Because frankly, he can. And while this is important to all men, not all men get the liberty of access to cream of the crop women. High quality men are choosy, so if you feel overlooked by these particular group of men this is a great place to start.

Your appearance, sis. Let’s work on elevating that in addition to the environments we choose to be in and the crowds we run in.

If you value and desire marriage, do not waste your time on someone who does not. It is not your job to change their mind. Let God work on their heart and go on about your business.

In Proverbs 4:23, the bible is encouraging us to build better boundaries around our inner world. The parts of us that are sacred and vulnerable. The parts of us that require care.

Your heart is the source of life, and every time you allow your heart to be penetrated due to poor boundaries and low discernment, it creates tears in your heart. Trauma that was supposed to just be a memory. Learn how to guard your heart and protect yourself. The ready man with good intentions will prevail!

And keep in mind that they are NOT special no matter how much you like them. Hold your boundaries and standards and don’t make exceptions.

If he is truly exceptional, that will shine. You won’t have to make up stories to make him or the connection to make it more special than it is.
