Think spray-on polyurea sticks to anything? It doesn't.

Polyurea doesn't bond by "grabbing" a surface like glue. It forms a mechanical and chemical bond "primer" with the substrate, which means the surface has to be clean, stable, and properly prepped.

Oil, dirt, rust, loose paint, moisture, or even a glossy finish can interfere with that bond. No matter how advanced the coating is, it can only perform as well as the surface beneath it.

That's why professional installers spend so much time cleaning, sanding, grinding, or blasting a surface before they ever pull the trigger. Good preparation isn't just a step in the process. It's the foundation of a long-lasting coating.
