Folks love natural cork. WIDGETCO is fortunate to supply a lot of w**e corks and cork stoppers and we hear great things from users. Cork has been used in w**emaking since the 17th century when a French monk by the name of Dom Perignon decided using a natural cork to seal w**e was superior to sealing w**e with a rag. The rest is history as he went on to create the world's most renowned ch*****ne. Today, over 2 million hectares of cork forests are sustainably managed. The bark is stripped from the tree to make billions of cork stoppers and yes, cork oak bark will regrow. Some will argue that a tree will die after the bark is stripped. Although this is true with almost all trees, the cork oak is unique and will regrow the bark to be harvested again. So, please enjoy cork for it's natural beauty and sustainability - we do!

NASA has been using cork as a thermal insulator since the 1970's on missions including Viking Mars Lander, Apollo, Delta rockets and more. Slowing from 10,000 mph to 1,000 mph in a minute generates a lot of heat! Thankfully, cork is there to help. So, if you would like to protect your countertops, tables, floors or space vehicle; WIDGETCO® can help!
