Carol Enneking - Speaker • Executive Advisor • Author Award-winning author of The Rebalancing Act, keynote speaker, and executive advisor. Her message has resonated around the world.

I help leaders make better decisions in a world that never slows down, creating cultures where people and performance thrive. Carol Enneking is a force in modern leadership—a corporate warrior turned transformational guide for today’s most influential organizations. She has not only studied leadership; she has lived it from every angle, navigating the pressures of global business while raising a family, overcoming personal adversity, and redefining what “success” truly means. For years, Carol served as a trusted advisor to executives and rising leaders in more than 150 companies across six continents, helping them lead with authenticity, clarity, and courage. But what sets her apart is what she chose next: she stepped out of the advisory role and into the arena herself. Beginning as a manager and rising to Vice President at a $6B international manufacturing company, she proved her approach not only works in theory, but withstands the realities of corporate life—competing priorities, high-stakes decisions, complex people dynamics, and unrelenting expectations. This dual-lens experience—coaching leaders at the highest levels and becoming one—gives Carol a rare depth of insight and credibility. She understands the demands placed on leaders because she has lived them and led through them. Carol’s award-winning, best-selling book, The Rebalancing Act: Wisdom from Working Women for Success that Matters, draws on the powerful stories of more than seventy women and men she interviewed, as well as her own lived experiences. Their insights shaped the seven archetypes that reveal how women typically show up at work—and the traps that often derail even the most accomplished among us. Through these narratives and reflections, Carol offers a relatable, human-centered path to recognizing those traps and moving toward success that truly matters. In 2025, Carol was recognized as Oxford Talks’ Most-Viewed Female Speaker, with more than 1.25 million viewers engaging with her powerful call to redefine success before it redefines us. Filmed at Oxford University, her talk has reached audiences globally and continues to resonate with leaders seeking a more sustainable—and more human—way to succeed. As the Founder of Rebalancing Revolution™, Carol equips organizations and individuals to shift from burnout and pressure to clarity, influence, and “success that matters.” Whether on stage, in the boardroom, or in intimate transformational conversations, she brings candor, compassion, and a deep belief that every life is an unfolding story—and rebalancing is how we write it with intention.

We're often tempted to believe that peace is waiting for us on the other side of the next milestone. The truth is, there will always be another goal, another project, or another change ahead.

Real stability doesn't come from having every detail figured out. It comes from staying grounded in what matters most, even as life continues to change.

Motivation is helpful when it shows up, but it is not something we can rely on consistently.

What has made the biggest difference for me is reframing discipline. Not as pressure, but as self-respect.

Choosing to show up, take care of my health, or protect my time is really about investing in the person I am becoming, not forcing myself to do something I “should” do.

Sustainable change is rarely built on motivation alone. It is built on small, steady decisions made over time.

Thank you to everyone who joined me yesterday at the HR Houston Gulf Coast Symposium!

I loved the energy and spirited discussion as we explored Don’t Burn Out Your Best People and three leadership plays for sustainable performance: Sequence Before You Stack, Reward Sustainable Performance, and Lead with Clarity, Not Constant Urgency.

These ideas are also becoming part of something bigger. I shared that I’ll soon begin interviewing leaders and employees for my next book, exploring the decisions, competing priorities, and organizational behaviors that make sustainable performance so difficult in a world that never slows down. I can’t wait to learn from those conversations.

Thank you to HR Houston and, especially, to everyone who chose to spend the hour with me!

Intentional leadership doesn’t happen by accident.

This week I’ll be speaking at the HR Houston Gulf Coast Symposium about a challenge that touches every organization: how to create sustainable high performance without burning out your best people.

One pattern I’ve noticed over the years is that burnout is rarely caused by a single bad week or one difficult leader. More often, it is the accumulation of well-intentioned leadership decisions that overload people, blur priorities, and leave little room for people to do their best work.

I’m looking forward to sharing practical strategies that leaders can use immediately to create greater clarity, stronger performance, and healthier teams.

If you’ll be at the Symposium, I’d love to connect!

“The Not much.”
But the reality is, most of us are holding a lot at once.

A reminder from The Rebalancing Act: before you take on more, take an honest look at everything you’re already carrying. Rebalancing starts with seeing your full capacity clearly.

One of the hardest parts of caring deeply for others is learning when to step back.

Whether it’s with our children, our teams, or the people we love, support doesn’t have to mean carrying every responsibility or solving every problem.

Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is trust. Trust that others are capable, that growth comes through experience, and that we don’t have to hold everything together on our own.
