For years, I've helped other businesses build brands they could be proud of.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't giving my own brand the same attention.

This little avatar has been with me for over 14 years. It started as a fun illustration, a style that found its way onto T-shirts and cards for friends and family and eventually it became the face of my creative work.

I'm excited to invest in my brand again, and maybe even start up DebzItUp apparel. :)

I surprised myself the most this year. Learning to pivot and trust the unknown. Loved this quote from Oswald Chambers and it really resonated with me. After a layoff, then going into freelance and now at a start up, I’m learning that His plan is perfect. I was invited to talk at Social Media Breakfast about everything I’ve learned these last few months in setting up work flows as a small team. If you’re here come by, if not it will be live streamed. First moment with the Houston Social Media Breakfast! 🥞
I've been showing up on the Zoom hour for a bit, but walking into the Ion last week was something else. Such a neat space, the energy was warm, and the conversation around showing up authentically in your brand hit exactly the way those conversations are supposed to hit.
Oh and I even ran into a college internship colleague I hadn't seen in years, who is now building in the AI startup space! The world is small and Houston's marketing community is even smaller (in the best way).
