With more heavy trucks on roadways in the District, a traffic study was recently completed across 31 key intersections to assess traffic flow and safety factors. NHD will work with partners to address needed infrastructure updates to meet the area’s new traffic and mobility demands today and prepare for the future.

A member of our team is stepping into a new role… After serving as the District’s Field Services Director for the last 8 years, Dru Gutierrez will become our new Public Safety Director! In addition to his in-depth understanding of the area and relationships with community members and stakeholders, Dru also has prior experience serving as Public Safety Liaison for Municipal Utility District (MUD) 152 and at the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office.

🎒At this year’s Back to School Bash, local families received free backpacks and school supplies, along with food and drinks from vendors! Attendees enjoyed Dylan Park playgrounds, as well as lawn games, facepainting, chalk art, and bubbles.

This year’s event was made possible by Selvin’s Cloud, Daspit Law Firm, and N. Houston Development Corporation.

Safer sidewalks are coming to the area around Aldine High School! ✅ The Gateway Improvement Program has been completed! For Phase 7, monument signage on Greens Road at W. Hardy Road was added to greet visitors entering the area from the east.

The District recently installed new street signs across from Wussow Park at the intersection of Greens Rd. and Greenchase Rd., and throughout the District. Signage helps with wayfinding and creating a sense of place, and contributes to beautification efforts.
