*Older adults have less water in their bodies to start with than younger adults or children. Water is necessary for nearly every bodily function, from lubricating joints to regulating body temperature, increased energy levels and pumping blood to the muscles. So not getting enough of it can have serious health consequences.
* Water helps to keep the urinary tract and kidneys healthy. When fluid intake is reduced the risk of urinary tract infections increases. Inadequate hydration is one of the main causes of acute kidney injury. Inadequate fluid intake is also one of the most common causes of constipation.

..When working in the Senior Care Industry a lot of times people will ask "How do you do it?" What you will find as a unanimous answer is that a vast majority of caregivers LOVE what they do. It is the fuel that gives them the strength to take on even the most complicated tasks and produce a successful outcome.
