That concept explains why TTI spends so much effort looking for exceptional businesses instead of simply looking for "popular" investments. Even in pre-IPO investing, you must be patient. There are lots of good companies, but very few good deals.

At TTI, we prefer not to invest in blind funds, where someone else makes all the decisions with our money. That's why we prefer the Single-Purpose-Vehicle format. We set up a company, it makes one investment, and you get to decide (a) whether to participate; and (b) how much to allocate to that particular investment.

You might want to put more money in apartments and hotels and emergency rooms and less in pre-IPO deals, or you might want to focus on pre-IPOs like Open AI, Anthropic, Scale AI, and Perplexity. The point is that it is your choice. And, when it comes time to sell, YOU decide whether, when, and how much to sell. We don't make those decisions for you.
