Houston Gulf Coast Alarm Association The HGCAA is comprised mainly of Houston area security and fire alarm companies and associated vendors. The HGCAA was established in 1974.

We are a non-profit organization of security professionals who have joined together to enrich the alarm industry. Welcome to the Houston Gulf Coast Alarm Association (HGCAA) web site. It is comprised mainly of Houston metropolitan area security and fire alarm companies and associated vendors. We are a non-profit organization of security professionals who have joined together to enrich the alarm industry in providing membership training, industry information, and representation in the Texas Legislature, Private Security Bureau, State Fire Marshal's Office, City of Houston, and other surrounding municipalities. HGCAA members are dedicated to excellence and professionalism. The HGCAA believes in upholding a high moral and ethical standard for the industry and its members. We also believe in our Code of Ethics and require members to abide by these standards.

We had a great afternoon of public service. Today a group of volunteers met at Houston Food Bank. We worked in the sorting room. We checked donations for any expired food and reboxed. We had a group checking expirations, we had another group working on making up boxes and another group moving pallets of boxed food to be weighed and wrapped up. The entire volunteer group sorted over 18k lbs of donations, that provides over 15K meals and boxed 34 pallets.

There’s a full house for the Fire Forum today! We love seeing new faces as well as the OG’s. Great insights into what the Fire Marshals are seeing in the field. It has been a very informative meeting! We also kicked off our annual fundraiser for our first responder scholarship. If you missed today's HGCAA monthly meeting, you missed a truly remarkable event. We were honored to award scholarships to three deserving graduating seniors whose parents are First Responders. This year, we received 38 submissions, and these three students demonstrated exceptional insight in their essays about the meaning of having a parent who serves as a First Responder. We take great pleasure in recognizing these students and their parents' selfless dedication to serving our communities.
