Paula Deare shared Condolence for Jim McDevitt
I'm so sorry for your loss. Jim was a huge influence in my success with Operation Stand Down. He pulled strings to get homeless veterans cleared of minor charges like loitering so they could immediately obtain state ID cards and driver's licenses. I'd never seen anything like it. He had court open on a Saturday with shuttle vans a sitting JD and lawyers clearing case after case. Then they shuttled the vets to a special line at the RMV where the vet's received their hard card ID's and were shuttled back to the military encampment waiving ID cards out of the windows like kids with prizes. Those days are forever impressed in my memory of your amazing husband.

I suffer from PTSD, anxiety and depression and it's not a good place to be. Sometimes people don't believe me when I tell them. I struggle; It can be hard to live with me & to be around me when I get like this and I know it. I try my best to control it. I manage to get strong but sometimes I break. So if you see me very quiet, I'm not being rude, I'm not mad at you, you're not bothering me, I may just need a minute to myself.
It's okay to not be okay, tell someone you're not okay. (It's okay).
Hopefully, some friends will put this on their wall. Awareness Is POWER…
