Today, I'm finding myself shedding a few tears of both sorrow and gratitude, knowing that God has blessed me with more than I deserve. Today marks the one-month anniversary of my father's passing... probably the saddest day that I've endured in my life. It's the day that my sisters and I lost Dad, but the day on which my mother lost her husband of over 68 years. On this very day, 43 years ago, Susan and I were married... and I cannot imagine where I'd be without here, today. Susan has been by my side, supporting me during tough times with her love and strength even before we were married. For the past month,Susan's helped strengthen my belief in God's plan for each of us who place our faith in Him. Happy 43rd Wedding Anniversary, Susan. While I'd like to hope for 43 more years with you, I honestly just want to make the most out of each and every day that God DOES grant me with you, and I pray never to take another of these blessed days for granted.

I love you, Mom. I miss you, Dad.
