Kids in pre-k through high school can enter our billboard design contest for a chance to win $500 and see their artwork featured on billboards across the Moshannon Valley! Here are all the details:

Using our coloring page as your template, design a billboard that shows what “keeping people warm” means to you while helping spread the word about what makes our propane service great, including:
• $1.49/gallon first fill special
• Zero fees
• Free tank monitors
• Great local service

Use crayons, paint, markers, or any materials you’d like to bring your idea to life!

We'll be choosing NINE of our favorite submissions to win a cash prize! Three winners will each receive $500 and have their art displayed on billboards throughout the area, plus six honorable mentions will receive $100 each.

Entries are due June 30, 2026. Completed pages can be dropped off at our Houtzdale office or submitted online.

Rusty’s Oil & Propane, Inc is seeking an experienced, Full Time Propane Service and Installation Professional in order to continue managing growth through Safe, Professional and Quality Work.

Potential Candidates Must Possess the following:
1. A minimum of two years Propane Installation and Service Experience.
2. CETP Training: Basic Principles & Practices, Bobtail Delivery, Crane Safety and Plant Maintenance & Safety (REQUIRED).
3. CDL (Class B Minimum) with Haz-Mat Endorsement.
4. General Knowledge of NFPA 54 & 58. REQUIRED SKILLS: Hands on experience involving the installation of propane tanks according to NFPA standards. Regulator, tank sizing and gas line sizing for equipment. The ability to complete a standard “Gas Check” form and safety inspection of equipment and dwellings. General pipe cutting, threading, gas line installation, basic carpentry and electrical skills and communication skills.

I had to run an early evening emergency propane delivery for one of our local dairy farmers. I had to walk past this little fellow, born just two days ago. He was a little nervous at first but warmed up to my attention. The owner of the farm stopped by and thanked me and I asked about the newborn. Two days old, a bull, he is already sold. As far as the other calves, it takes about 2 years before they produce milk. It really makes you stop and think about the time, hard work and effort a farmer endures. Rusty’s is busy setting propane tanks! Some of the new customers were dissatisfied with their current suppliers service and pricing. They are making the switch to Rusty’s because we are the only propane supplier not charging hidden fees.

Some of the new customers are upgrading heating equipment and are using Rusty’s as well.
