Hybrid holsters. I don’t recommend them.
A member of P&S - Primary & Secondary posted this today:
"I can admit when I was wrong, and man I was wrong. I am sorry.
Early on in this group I held the belief, and argued on behalf of that belief, that hybrid holsters were fine for normal, everyday concealed carry. I had explained that mine was worn every day for 5 years with very little wear and still had good retention. Well, today, almost at year 6, it failed exactly as those people here told me it would fail. If I hadn’t have caught it, it would have fired a round potentially through my right leg. Nothing on the holster was broken or defective, and the screws were still tight..yet the backing material flexed (and yes, it had a ‘steel insertion’ to prevent flex) so that retention was lost and the trigger could move. You, my more knowledgeable peers in this group, were right, and my dumba*s was wrong. Please feel free to share this amongst other groups. And to those still using hybrid holsters please, for your safety and others, stop. It might be fine now, but it will fail and it will fail very suddenly. Yesterday the holster was just fine, and today it wasn’t. It was that fast."
