This month on display at Frontal Lobe, we are proud to present art work from Linda McVicar. Linda holds a B.S. from Wayne State University in Art Education and vocational certification in Graphic Arts. Linda taught in public schools and then “graduated” to teaching calligraphy and related arts in numerous adult education programs. She has taught for Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association, Center for Creative Studies, Visual Arts Association of Livonia and Michigan Association of Calligraphers. Her studies include workshops with many master calligraphers both in Michigan and at International Calligraphic Arts Conferences. Linda's work has been exhibited in numerous shows and galleries both nationally and internationally including “Alphamark”, a traveling international exhibit; “Visions of the Spirit” at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.; Midland Center for the Arts, Lawrence Street Gallery, Oakland County Galleria, the Livonia Fine Arts Gallery, the Atrium at the Novi Civic Center, and Huron Valley Council for the Arts.
