LTC Facilities take care of elderly patients. They feed them, nurse them, bathe them, and keep them safe. In turn, they make it easier for these patients’ immediate family members to accomplish other personal and social duties. But when it comes to getting their end of the deal, these facilities are more often than not left empty-handed. This is one of the major hurdles faced by LTC facilities: payment collection. The reason is either these patients and their immediate family/benefactors are ill-equipped to pay or they simply refuse to do so, for as long as they can get away with it.
