Howells Volunteer Fire Department

The fire department will not be issuing any burn permits until harvest is over. We received a great amount of rain but the standing crops are still dry. Please don't burn any thing. The only thing we should be burning is hamburgers and hotdogs. Stay safe and have a bountiful harvest.

Thank you to all the kids and parents who showed up for junior fire patrol. A very large group of kids and maybe some future fire fighter and EMTs.

25 years ago 9-11-01. Many of us remember where we were that day. Many of us were not even born. Never forget the heroes we lost that day. God bless America 🇺🇸

Shutting down burn permits again for a few days. Today is Red Flag Warning, and Friday and Saturday are supposed to be windy. If you have something you burned this past week please make sure it is fully out as these winds can easily reignite a smoldering burn pile. Thank you
