CORTLAND, Ohio – Patricia A. “Patty” McPaul, age 96, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the comfort of her home.

Born at home in Andover, Ohio, on May 29, 1929, to Chet and Iva (Twitchell) Phillips, she was the youngest of seven siblings.

Patty lived most of her life in Andover, moving in 2014 to Cortland.

She graduated from Andover High School and married Barney McPaul in 1947. They shared 52 years before his passing in 1999.

Survivors include her two daughters, Debby (Gene) Connors of Austintown and Becky Dolan of Cortland and daughter-in-law, Pauline McPaul of Boardman. She was Gram to eight grandchildren and Gigi to seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded by her parents, her husband, her son, Sid McPaul; a grandson and all of her siblings.

Patty was employed as a bank teller for Cardinal Savings & Loan for many years and she was a member of the Andover Christian Church.

Her hobbies included sewing and crafting.

Per her wishes, a private graveside service was held in Maple Grove Cemetery in Andover.
