DO keep the color palette simple
DON’T be tempted to fill the room…keep it simple
DO follow the 80/20 rule…approx 20% should be old/vintage/antique when mixing
DON’T use really worn or outdated upholstery. You can reupholster a piece and still keep its old charm!

TUESDAY TIP: Tile is king when it comes to bathrooms! Yes, it can be a pain to clean, but this trend isn’t going anywhere soon. To keep from getting overwhelmed, find 1 tile you LOVE and build from there. It doesn’t matter if it’s for floor, walls, shower, etc...just build on the one you love most. You can mix patterns, but be careful that the scale of pattern is different. As always, refer to a pro for help when needed!🛁

TUESDAY TIP! Bring the outdoors in🪴 Garden rooms are "growing" in popularity. It seems that nearly every homebody has a fiddle-leaf fig, snake plant or pothos plant hanging out in the corner. Adding live plants to your home have therapeutic benefits in addition to looking pretty - just make sure you dump those plastic pots they come in, and use containers that compliment your decor.

TUESDAY TIP: CHOOSE PAINT COLORS LAST! Repeat after me - “I will not choose paint until everything else is done.” It’s ok to have an idea of what colors are going on walls, but don’t jump the gun! You can ALWAYS find paint to match those perfect throw pillows, but finding pillows to match paint? Not so easy. If you’re redoing a room, make all other selections first, then decide on paint color!
