3 Mile Hill Ranch in Animas, New Mexico knows the importance of putting up quality hay when the weather doesn’t want to cooperate.

With changing conditions and tight baling windows, Baler’s Choice hay preservative helps provide more flexibility when it’s time to bale. By allowing hay to be baled at higher moistures, Baler’s Choice helps reduce the risk of heating, mold, and spoilage while helping protect color, feed value, and overall hay quality.

For 3 Mile Hill Ranch, it’s about making the most of every cutting and having more confidence in the hay they put up.

Some of you might remember that I installed a nifty little piece of technology on our chopper last fall. This spring, Harvest Tec came down to the farm to ask me about it and here is the result!

To be honest, I was expecting a simple interview but then they came out swinging with this super high quality production 😂

Something as simple as knowing the moisture of what we're chopping has created a huge piece of mind especially as we come into haylage season starting in the next couple of weeks.

You can find the product in the description if you're interested!

Preseason is the perfect time to make sure your automatic applicator is ready for the first bale of the year.
A quick pump and flow meter test, along with routine 3-pump check valve maintenance, can help prevent issues in the field and keep your system applying accurately when it matters most.

A little preseason maintenance now can save a lot of downtime later.

At Southwind Farms in New Jersey, Chris Pazdan knows that producing the highest quality hay is critical when you’re feeding world-class standardbred horses.

With three of his stallions ranking among the top five breeding sires in the industry, nutrition and horse health are the top priorities on the farm. Managing 150–200 acres of hay, Chris relies on Baler’s Choice® hay preservative to consistently produce premium-quality forage.

In this testimonial, Chris discusses why safety and quality matter when feeding horses worth millions of dollars, often owned by multiple shareholders. He also explains why he trusts Baler’s Choice®, noting that it’s a natural acid horses already produce, giving him confidence in what he’s feeding his animals.

For Chris, Baler’s Choice® has become an essential part of his operation, helping him make the kind of hay his horses require and the level of quality he expects.

Spent the week in St. George, UT attending the National Hay Association (NHA) Mid-Year Meeting. It was great hearing how hay operations look across different regions of the U.S., along with the challenges growers are seeing in today’s hay market and export environment.

Most importantly, it was a great chance to catch up with NHA members and continue the conversations that keep the hay industry moving forward.

The first photo shows all the new members inducted in this year's meeting.

Great time attending the University of Idaho Hay & Forage School. Always valuable hearing insights from experienced producers, while also educating them on making quality hay.
