Hey Keesh Unfiltered

Hey Keesh Unfiltered Mom life, business, & planning—But in a real way ✨

One thing I’m learning in this season is that priorities are necessary, and so are sacrifices.

Not because everything else is bad.

Not because I don’t care.

But because I don’t have the capacity to carry everything all at once.

And that’s okay.

Sometimes maturity looks like saying, “Not right now.”

What’s something you’ve given yourself permission to put on the shelf in this season? 💚

God doesn’t rush growth.

And if I’m honest, there are some things I wish He’d hurry up and do. 😂

Financial stability.

Being debt free.

Homeownership.

More structure.

More discipline.

Sometimes I just be wanting Him to push me to the next level already.

But when I look back over my life, I can honestly say that had God placed me where I am now years ago, I would’ve fumbled it.

The challenging seasons.

The uncomfortable moments.

The stretching.

The waiting.

I needed all of it.

And baby, God has definitely been stretching me lately. 😩😂

I’m learning that when God is stretching you, it’s going to be uncomfortable.

Very uncomfortable.

But you have to trust Him enough to let Him lead the journey and align you with His will instead of your own timeline.

Because just because God isn’t moving on my timeline doesn’t mean He isn’t moving at all.

If you’re tired of waiting, I want to remind you that God knows.

He knows what you’re praying for.

He knows what you’re hoping for.

He knows what you’re tired of.

Sit still and talk to Him.

Remember your why.

And remember that He’s shaping you and molding you to be able to handle what’s coming your way.

Sometimes the messiness of the waiting room is preparing you for the promise.

And baby, anything worth having is worth the wait. 💚

Just because you’re tired doesn’t mean you lack discipline.

Baby, some days are just long. 😂

Some days it’s work.

Some days it’s church.

Some days it’s errands.

And all days feel longer with kids. 😩😂

By the end of some days, making good decisions feels hard.

Eating healthy feels hard because my mind wants what’s convenient.

Working out feels hard because I’m already tired.

Even doing the little routines that help me get ahead for the next morning can feel hard because honestly… I just want to lay down and not do anything.

And if I’m honest, there have been plenty of nights where I’ve questioned my discipline.

But lately, I’ve been realizing that what I thought was a lack of discipline was really exhaustion.

Now don’t get me wrong. Discipline still matters. It’s what helps keep us moving when we don’t feel like it.

But I’ve learned that helping myself through exhaustion matters too.

Simpler meals.

Giving myself grace.

Planning ahead as much as possible.

Those small things help me navigate exhaustion a lot better than just settling for convenience or completely falling off.

And maybe somebody else needs this reminder today:

Just because you’re tired doesn’t mean you lack discipline.

Sometimes you just need support, not shame. 💚

One bad decision doesn’t mean you have to start over.

That used to be my mindset though.

I’d mess up and immediately say, “I’ll just start over next week” or “I’ll start again next month.”

But lately, I’ve been learning to give myself a little more grace.

One thing I’ve realized during these diet changes is that I was trying to change so much at one time. And honestly, I forgot that I wasn’t supposed to have sweets and ate one anyway. 😩😂

Old me would’ve taken that one decision and turned it into an excuse to throw the whole thing away.

But now?

I just start again the next day.

Because one sweet doesn’t mean I failed.

One missed workout doesn’t mean I failed.

Getting behind on work doesn’t mean I failed.

It just means life happened.

I’m learning that giving myself grace doesn’t mean lowering my standards. It means refusing to quit every time I make a mistake.

And baby, sometimes progress looks like getting back up instead of starting over.

Anybody else learning to give themselves a little more grace these days? 💚

My Brain Dump Notebook Became My Command Center

My brain dump notebook has been one of the best things I’ve added to my routine lately.

I use digital tools every day, but for some reason, my thoughts needed a home on paper.

Before I started using a brain dump notebook, things were ending up everywhere. Notes on my phone. Sticky notes. Random pieces of paper.

Then I’d spend time trying to remember where I wrote something down. 😩

Now everything goes in one place.

Ideas.
Tasks.
Reminders.
Random thoughts.
Things I need to revisit later.

If my mind starts feeling crowded, I grab my notebook and start writing.

What I’ve realized is that I don’t need to carry everything in my head.

My brain dump notebook became my command center.

It’s the extra tool I didn’t know I needed, but it definitely helps me feel more together.

Anybody else still love pen and paper? 😂

I love building systems.

Following them every day?

That’s a different conversation. 😂

Listen…

I can build a planner setup.
I can create a workflow.
I can organize a whiteboard.
I can map out a process.
I can create a schedule.

And honestly? I enjoy doing all of it.

But every now and then life starts lifing, my routine gets interrupted, and suddenly I’m staring at the very system I created wondering why I’m not using it. 😭😂

One thing I’m learning is that having a system isn’t the goal.

Using the system consistently is.

So if you’ve ever created the perfect routine, planner, budget, meal plan, or schedule and then struggled to actually follow it…

Welcome to the club. 😂

We’re working on the consistency part together.

Hey Hey! It’s Keesh. Welcome to .

I’ve been thinking a lot about my future lately. Not just one area either.

My health.
My finances.
My business.
My faith.
My relationships.

All of it.

And one thing I keep coming back to is this:

The future I’m praying for can’t be built on motivation alone.

Because motivation is great when it’s there.

But what happens when you’re tired?

What happens when the excitement wears off?

That’s where discipline comes in.

Discipline is what tells me to think twice before spending money I don’t need to spend.

Discipline is what tells me we have food at home. 😂

Discipline is what tells me to move my body even when I’d rather do something else.

I’m learning that the life I want is going to require me to make decisions based on where I’m trying to go, not just how I feel in the moment.

And baby… that’s a daily choice.

Anybody else working on discipline right now?

💭

One thing God has really been working on me about lately is patience.

Not patience with other people.

Patience with ME.

Because if I’m honest, I can be my own worst critic.

Especially when it comes to parenting.

Especially when it feels like I’m not where I thought I’d be by now.

Especially when I’m looking at everything I still want to accomplish.

But God keeps reminding me that everything works on His timing, not mine.

And baby, that’s easier said than done sometimes.

I’m learning that patience with myself looks like giving myself grace instead of beating myself up.

It looks like not letting self-doubt take over.

It looks like taking time to appreciate how far I’ve come instead of only focusing on what’s next.

And most importantly, it looks like trusting God’s timing even when it doesn’t match my timeline.

Anybody else learning this lesson right now?

Can we talk about how nobody tells picky eaters what we’re actually supposed to eat? 😂

Everybody says:

“Just eat healthier.”

Okay cool.

But then the suggestions start coming…

Salmon.
Avocado.
Cauliflower rice.
Zucchini.
Baby, I don’t eat none of that. 😩

I really thought changing my diet would be the hardest part.

Nope.

Figuring out WHAT to eat has been harder.

Then throw in long work days, trying to cut back on caffeine, and changing habits I’ve had for years.

Whew.

The good thing is I’ve been more disciplined than I thought I’d be. I’ve stopped trying to change everything at once and started focusing on small changes I can actually stick with.

Because at the end of the day, your health journey doesn’t have to look like anybody else’s.

It just has to work for you.

Any other picky eaters out there struggling with healthy food recommendations? 😂

June isn’t my month to do more.

It’s my month to get back to the basics.

May was A LOT. Between graduations, award days, vacation, my oldest baby’s birthday, and work, the month got away from me before I even realized it.

My routines got off track. My eating got off track. And honestly? I didn’t adjust as well as I could have.

One thing I’ve learned is that when life gets busier than normal, you have to make adjustments. Otherwise you’ll wake up one day wondering how you ended up so far away from the things you were working on.

So this month, I’m keeping it simple:

✔️ Better eating
✔️ Mental reset
✔️ Moving my body more
✔️ Consistency

If you’ve gotten off track, don’t spend all your energy feeling bad about it. Just get back on.

That’s exactly what I’m doing.

What’s one thing you’re focusing on this month?
