Parenting Chronicles:

There is no part of my day that makes me want to throw the WHOLE day away like getting these boys ready for school. 😩😩

The reset after dropping them off be SO real. 🥴😂

Confession…

I feel uncomfortable celebrating myself. 🥴

I’m usually comfortable being behind the scenes.
Planning the celebration.
Supporting someone else.
Making sure everybody else feels special.
But when the attention shifts toward me, I don’t always know what to do with it.

Even during my birthday month, part of me wants to celebrate—and another part of me wants to quietly move along like it’s any other month. 😂

I’m realizing that learning to celebrate myself doesn’t make me self-centered.

It means allowing myself to receive some of the love, support, and appreciation I’m always willing to give to everyone else.

So this month, I’m challenging myself not to shrink, brush it off, or make the moment smaller just because the attention feels uncomfortable.

I’m going to let myself be celebrated.
Even if I’m a little awkward about it. 😂💚

Hey hey, it’s Keesh! Welcome to Thoughtful Thursday. 💭

Random thought…

The older I get, the more I realize being thought of means more to me than expensive gifts.

Don’t get me wrong—I love a good gift. 😂

But there’s something special about knowing someone remembered you.

A “this made me think of you” text.
Checking in after something important.
Remembering a small detail from a conversation.
A simple gesture that says, “You crossed my mind.”

Maybe that’s why I believe the little things usually aren’t little.

Sometimes they’re the things that mean the most.

What’s a small gesture that always makes you feel loved or appreciated?

See you next Thursday! 💚

I’ve realized my favorite moments are usually the smallest ones.

Laughing with my boys until our stomachs hurt.
Watching them learn something new.
Fresh sheets.
Finishing a project.
Crossing something off my to-do list.
Having a moment where I can be a kid again.
A few quiet minutes to relax.
A peaceful moment outside…even if it’s raining.
Good music.

Feeling appreciated in the little ways.
Knowing someone thought about me.
Small but meaningful gestures.
My favorite meal.
Hugs from my favorite little people.
Long talks with my mama.

The older I get, the more I realize joy isn’t always found in the big moments.

Sometimes it’s hiding in the little ones we almost overlook. 💚

One thing I’m learning about temporary seasons…

The hardest part isn’t always the sacrifice.
Sometimes it’s conforming to a whole new set of rules.

Spending less.
Having less free time.
Saying no more often.
Putting some of my favorite hobbies on pause.
Living differently than I used to.

None of it is necessarily easy.
But I keep reminding myself…

Temporary means it won’t last forever.
I believe the growth I’m seeing in myself is preparing me for everything God has promised me.
So I’m choosing to embrace the process instead of rushing through it.

Because if the season is shaping me…
I don’t want to miss what it has to teach me. 💚

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the woman I’m becoming.

I’m becoming the woman who worries less.
Who enjoys the peace that comes from standing on her boundaries.

Who no longer lives her life trying to make everybody else happy.
Who’s more disciplined.
More intentional.
Who values consistency a little more every day.
Who doesn’t mind speaking her mind, even when it’s uncomfortable.

I still have a lot of growing to do.

But when I stop and look at where I used to be…
I can’t help but smile.

Growth isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it’s simply becoming someone you genuinely like.

And I think that’s a beautiful thing. 💚

Hey hey, it’s Keesh. 💚

Confession…

This season has frustrated me more than I’ve probably admitted. Not because I don’t believe it’ll be worth it.

I’m just tired sometimes.
Tired of making sacrifices.
Tired of waiting.
Tired of feeling like I’m always building.

Two things can be true at the same time.
I’m grateful.
And I’m frustrated.

I know this season has purpose.
And I’m ready for the next one.

I’ll probably still be frustrated tomorrow. 😂
But I’m still showing up.

Hey hey, it’s Keesh! Welcome to Thoughtful Thursday. 💭

Random thought…

It’s funny how certain seasons change what you value.
The more I grow, the more I think moral support should be its own love language.

Sometimes support looks like checking in.
Remembering something important.
Celebrating a small win.
Showing up when you said you would.
Or simply reminding someone they’re not doing life alone.

Those things may seem small…
But they leave a lasting impact.

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion… maybe it’s not. 😂
What do y’all think?

Y’all ever notice how we’re always focused on what’s next?

The next opportunity.
The next paycheck.
The next goal.
Me too.

But lately I’ve been asking myself a different question…

Am I taking care of what I already have?

Because maybe preparing for more starts with appreciating what’s already in front of me.
