Meet the newest addition to our Performance Catamaran lineup.
We’re excited to introduce our PBC 25.
Short for Performance Bay Cat,
we decided to develop a full lineup of performance aluminum catamarans that draw inspiration from those found dominating South Texas inshore fishing tournaments and sandbars alike.
While this model shares the same proven running surfaces found on our Performance Fishing Cats (PFC) and Performance Pleasure Cats (PPC), our PBC lineup showcases a few stand out design changes.
The first change that you may notice straight away is the profile of the front deck.
While we love the aggressive look of our “Pickle Fork” bow found on our PFC’s and PPC’s, avid anglers really wanted an option that maximizes flat front deck space and overall fishability on the bow of the boat.
Y’all asked. We answered.
Another major change on our PBC lineup is a comparitively lower side height than our PFC and PPC models.
This makes it just that much easier to walk from bow to stern, as well as the additional ease d of getting in and out of it at the sandbar.
With the lower sides, you may be be concerned about it having a wet ride when the bay turns rough.
Don’t you worry about that!
We took that into full consideration when designing our Bay Cats.
To start, we increased the height as well as the offset of our side wall spray chines.
In addition to that, we added an even larger lip between our sides, gunnel, and rub rail profile. This design makes essentially a large upside down “U” shaped channel that redirects any potential spray back downwards and away from the boat.
On this PBC 25, we’re also showing off our optional rear fantail.
Aside from giving you more rear deck space, more storage, and easier morw convenient engine / lower unit access,
when you’re sitting stationary our fantail also acts to redirect any waves crashing into the stern of your hull back down and away from the transom / rear deck.
How strong is that fantail?
Well, I’d hope that us showing the fact that we’re able to mount dual 8’ powerpoles directly to them will give you an idea.
In fact, EVERY hull we build comes standard with a LIFETIME structural warranty.
These hulls may be fast and perform well, but they feature a true marine grade 3/16” aluminum bottom, sides, tunnel, and interior framing structure, paired with a full 1/4” thick transom!
The bottom profiles on our PBC, PFC, and PPC cats have been refined and tested maticulously over the past 2.5 years with over $40,000 invested into CFD and FEA simulation testing, and over $8,000 just in paid consultions of our designs and that test data from some of the most renowned catamaran designers in the industry!
However, the customization options on these hulls are near limitless.
We’re not bound by molds, so we’re able to custom configure the interior layout any way you’d like to fit your exact needs!
