Looking for Sawmill Pallet Mill Operator - duties include set up, run, and maintain machinery (bandsaws, resaws, edgers) to convert logs into lumber for pallets. Maximize wood recovery by optimizing cuts, grading material for defects, and clearing jams to ensure steady production. This role requires physical stamina, 40 # lifting, and strict safety adherence. Perform cleanup, maintenance, and log production data. Move logs/cants with forklifts or loaders, stack materials, and maintain inventory counts. Extended periods of standing are required. Four 10-hour workday work week. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read job orders. Bearlodge Forest Products, Inc. has openings in our sawmill production lines which manufacture pallets, timbers, and lumber.
Applicants must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, including but not limited to standing for the entire 10 hour shift, being able to lift up to 40 #, and possess the ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks. Key competencies we are looking for in an applicant are reliability, adherence to company policies, problem solving skills, initiative, the ability to follow directions and attention to detail. The position requires the ability to work together within a team and a willingness and aptitude to learn the job and be cross-trained in other positions.
Work schedule is 4 10 hour days per week, Monday - Thursday with Fridays off. Some overtime is available and some Friday work may be required to meet the demands of sales.

The Spring of 2022 marks 45 years in business for us!
We are generation number three. It took a lot of dedication and hard work by family and employees that came before us. We wouldn't have a business without them, and appreciate what we've had to build on.
