PEA congratulates this year's Solar for Schools grant recipients!

$1.9 million of new funding was announced this week by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for solar energy installations planned for five schools across Pennsylvania, including three at The School District of Philadelphia.

PEA in partnership with the PA Solar Center provided SDP with technical feasibility assistance for grant applications submitted on behalf of Andrew Hamilton Elementary School, Horace Furness High School, and Mayfair Elementary School.

Solar for Schools funding is anticipated to cover up to 50% of solar energy construction costs. Read more in link below.

NSAM Morale Welfare and Recreation will cut the ribbon on a new CampusXL solar workstation outside the Cafe Del Monte tomorrow. The workstation will offer solar-powered plug-ins for phones and laptops.
