🌟 Reintroduction time! 🌟
Gather around kitties, here’s a story. 📖

The last couple years have been a transformative journey, and I'm excited to share the newest chapter with you.

After bidding farewell to Babes Who Create and my influencer marketing escapades – a move that was right on schedule – I embarked on a trip back to my roots. 📜💕

Those roots include contract writing gigs, hosting intimate events for incredible women, and rekindling my passion for the vintage/antiques market– all things that I was doing more than two decades ago to help put myself through college. Guess that’s what they call “full circle.” 📝🌼

In this exciting Grown-Up 2.0 chapter, I'm collaborating with the wonderful folks .co, a local family-owned vintage shop. You'll find me curating my very own 'corner of curiosities’ at their store, managing a couple different eBay stores, and even organizing community events that celebrate makers and the beauty of secondhand treasures. 🛍️🌈

But here's the best part – I've never felt more aligned, financially and mentally stable, and deeply connected (we’re talking on an ancestral level) to the work I'm pouring my heart and time into. ✨

So, allow me to reintroduce myself: I'm Amanda, and it's a pleasure to meet you all (again). Here's to embracing change, rediscovering passions, and in this rollercoaster of a journey together! 🥂💖

Every year around this time I temporarily swap my standard dark and spooky attire for a flower crown 🖤➡️💐, in honor of Midsummer and my Scandinavian roots. (Afterwards it’s full-on Halloween mode. No apologies, lol)

This year is doubly exciting because I’m co-hosting a Midsummer Market event with my friends .co and my BWC biz partner Tara and her .fun brand.

We’ll be featuring a marketplace full of vintage dealers and makers (shop local and secondhand 🥳🥳🥳), food and drink, family friendly activities like glitter tattoos, build your own bath salts, flower crowns (if I’m wearing one, everyone is wearing one 😄🙌🏻), and more.

Hope you’ll come celebrate the summer solstice and a new season with us outside the Inretropect Warehouse on Saturday 6/24 from 9am - 2pm. 🌞🥂

And pop into the shop too since there will be more promos going on inside, and you can even see my new .co vendor booth on the 2nd floor! 🥳🥳🥳

Side note: we still have a few vendor spots open — especially for food/drink vendors — so DM me if you’d like to join us, or have any referrals!

1st Quarter photo dump. 😛

Because I’ve been spending far less time on the ‘gram and far more time just living life, which I would 10/10 recommend.

Also, going with natural skin and hair for the first time in…well, a long time. And I’m diggin’ it.

Lifelong friends are the best of friends. 💗 It made my heart soar to see my childhood bestie .pilch when she visited SoCal a couple weeks ago. We’ve been friends since the SECOND GRADE, when we were two little nerdy, ghost-obsessed Catholic school girls in Chicago.

She’s now a published author, shaman, paranormal investigator, and basically just way cooler than most of us could ever hope to be. And I’ve been fortunate enough to have her in my life for over 30 years.

And once we both make it to the afterlife, we’re going to have even more fun haunting the s**t out of people. Consider yourselves warned.😁👻🙌🏻

Been quietly grinding away behind the scenes on some new expansion plans for .co ✨ and it partly involves one of my all-time favorite things: FOOD. 😍

Can’t share anymore details yet but let’s just say I see some beautiful, witchy tablescapes in my future, like this winter-inspired one that .co brought to Holibabe Wonderland last month. Any space filled with neutral colors, textures, pretty plates and glasses, and lots of dead things 😜 is absolutely my vibe.

Cheers to 2023 and all of its possibilities. Who’s ready to feast with me? 🍽

Yuletide blessings on this winter solstice, ❄️ a day marking the death and rebirth of the sun. Since winter solstice traditions have influenced every single one of our modern-day winter holidays, it deserves some acknowledgement, even if you fancy yourself not a heathen.😉

So take some time to rest and recharge. Think about your own death/rebirth cycle. Honor ancestors by lighting candles, cooking an epic meal, and tuning out all the noise and chaos of the modern world. Even if just for one night.

I tried to channel those vibes with the .co photo opp last Saturday — nothing elaborate, but I love how it turned out. And extra special thanks to (swipe to last slide) for perfecting my icy blonde locks. Our Norwegian ancestors would definitely approve.

‘Twas the night before Holibabe Wonderland and all through the house, all the creatures were stirring, and chaos abounded…no time to rhyme anymore, The End. 🫣😂

But for reals, tomorrow is going to be fun & festive AF. I’ll be dressed as the Winter Solstice Witch, and you all should come out and support local small businesses, plus lots (and I mean LOTSSSS) of pampering.

The other owners and I decided to sweeten the pot by discounting GA tickets (VIP already sold out) down to only $10!

My favorite brown-eyed kid is EIGHT, and feeling great!

I, on the other hand, am melting down 😭 but it’s not about me today, lol.

Words can’t express how much love and light this kid brings into our lives. He bounces out of bed every day with a huge smile on his face, kills it in school even after skipping a grade, has a wicked sense of humor, and more importantly, has the biggest, most tender heart. He always lends a helping hand, and has boundless love for animals, friends, and family.

(But also, he’s not afraid to question authority. No clue where he gets that from. 😏)

Happy birthday Maximus, time to celebrate! 🥳🎂

Am I ready for another revolution around the sun? Hell yes, batter up. ⚾️

41 years young today and I couldn’t be happier. No anti-aging talk allowed. I’m very much PRO aging because the only alternative is ☠️ and as exciting as that will be some day, I’m still having too much fun on this revolving rock to call it quits.

So cheers to another year, and to all the weird, random s**t I have left to do. Spoiler alert: it’s a lot. 🥳🥳🥳
