She’s been running Hoosier Drive-In for 16 years.
Her dad bought it back in 2009 after a fire gutted the place.

They rebuilt it. Opened back up in 2010.
And she’s been there ever since.

Not behind the scenes.
Right up front.

If you’ve been there more than a couple times, she probably knows your name.

This isn’t some corporate operation.

β€’ They make a lot of their food from scratch
β€’ Staffing is thin, like everywhere else
β€’ Some days she has to shut off DoorDash or the phone just to keep up

Not because they don’t care.
Because they physically can’t do it all.

And when something goes wrong?

It usually ends up on Facebook instead of being said to her directly.

She’ll fix it.
But only if she knows about it.

π—¦π—›π—˜β€™π—¦ 𝗧π—₯π—œπ—˜π—— 𝗧𝗒 π—šπ—œπ—©π—˜ π—•π—”π—–π—ž 𝗧𝗒𝗒

β€’ Cooking extra meals and giving them away
β€’ Helping with local food efforts when she can
β€’ Taking care of regulars like they’re family

But like every small business right now, margins are tight.
Time is tighter.

𝗔𝗑𝗗 π—›π—˜π—₯π—˜β€™π—¦ π—§π—›π—˜ π—žπ—œπ—–π—žπ—˜π—₯

She hears it all the time:

β€œI never make it to that side of town.”

It’s seven minutes.

Seven.

We push development north.
We pour attention into downtown.

And then we wonder why places on the south side struggle to stay on people’s radar.

This is what that looks like in real life.

Not a statistic.
Not a study.

A person. Trying to keep the doors open.

I just finished quality-checking and hand-stamping this massive haul, and the fridge and shelf is officially restocked.
