Shauna Herbel, Auctioneer & Owner
Shauna was born and raised on a farm in Hardin, Montana. She's a farm girl, through and through, who worked side by side with her Dad and Grandpa. Shauna knows a lot about farm and ranch equipment, which makes her knowledgeable in selling this kind of equipment in her auction business. As a teen-ager, Shauna was in charge of raising 500 head of sheep, drove beet
, grain and corn silage trucks during harvest, and operated the swather and hay rake during haying season. Shauna helped with irrigating crops in the hot summer and fed cows in the winter. Shauna inherited her strong work ethic from her Dad and Grandpa and knows the meaning of hard work. In 1984, her Dad was forced to auction off most of the farm equipment to pay off a bank loan. That experience gave Shauna her first taste of auctions and a deep understanding of the emotional weight that comes with selling family treasures. She knows firsthand what if feels like to watch a piece of equipment get loaded onto a trailer and hauled away by a stranger. Not only did she start and run her own auction business, but she also works full-time as a registered nurse. She graduated from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, and has experience in hospitals, assisted living, and home care facilities in the Bozeman and Belgrade areas. In 2022, she sold her home in Belgrade and moved to Huntley, Mt, to help her Dad care for her Mom, who passed not long after her move. She was able to continue her nursing work remotely and now works part-time for a home care agency in Bozeman while also serving full-time as a mental health crisis nurse. With over thirteen years in the auction industry, Shauna took her skills to the next level by graduating from The Western College of Auctioneering in 2024. Well-versed in online auctions, she is now excited to spread her wings, working alongside experienced auctioneers to refine her chant and grow as a live auctioneer.
