Facts are facts. Great visual read. My take? First, I believe capitalism is the best model to create a higher standard of living but is too often corrupted, like so many of our societal systems and trusted leaders. I have run into too many narcissistic people in my career working as a consultant. They value their own pocketbook over employees and even customers. Second, I stand by my prediction of a looming global recession (60% of those who responded agree). I'm not buy the Bull's (sh**) story that "the world is nearly recession-proof (Goldman Sachs). Too much debt, not enough workers in the US (full employment) and workforce productivity is flat to down. Plus, the US population is growing under 1% a year. I don't care how much new business is available if you don't have the people to manufacture or serve. At the end of the day the orders go unfilled. I say US GDP growth in 2020 is 1.5% at best, and possibly down if the bubble bursts.

On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we can all reflect on the positive influence this man brought forth with his vision and leadership. I must say, as previously expressed, I agree with Dan. iPhone prices are coming down soon:

Tweaked product by increasing the pace, and eliminating politics. People who watch TV would like to escape politics for a few minutes, otherwise they would watch cable news all the time:

This Song Sheet is worth a read. Here is what managers were told to sing to the 175,000 employees. Bottom line, is the time to cut "waste" and eliminate old products - when the economy is at the top (or wait until a recession hits)? Do you agree with their approach?

The Detroit automaker cited rising commodity prices and interest rates as reasons to ask 17,700 employees to retire from the company.

If your mission says why you exist, and your vision states what you will achieve and become, doesn't your values speak of who you are and what the world can expect in behavior? Do you agree with John? Is it okay to sometime violate your values for wealth?

Apple's strategic revelation is not surprising. Apple has taken great pride in increasing the price of their phones - among the most expensive on the market. But they are being forced to change their strategy - so moved by the consumer. Just like consumers wanting cheap, disposable razors they aren't buying the new generation of phones as broadly as they always have.

Apple on their recent investor call said they are more focused on generating add-on income to the installed user base (iTunes, iCloud, services, ads, etc.). It isn't about selling expensive phones to as many people as possible any longer, but monetizing the user base. That means two things, (1) look for the price of iPhones to come down next year, (2) look for more ads and promotions to you, the iPhone user. Another tech giant, transitioning strategy.....while the stock craters.

The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the situation, that Apple has slashed orders for the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max models. The three models were unveiled in September.
