Starting June with a Career

Today, we had the privilege of witnessing PVT Manning raise his right hand and take the Oath of Enlistment as a 25B, Information Technology Specialist, in the United States Army.

It is always an honor to be a part of someone’s journey into military service, but today carried an extra special meaning. PVT Manning comes from a family deeply rooted in service, as both of his parents are proud combat veterans who have dedicated themselves to our nation.

What makes this moment even more remarkable is the incredible full-circle connection that came with it. SFC Olivas was once a Soldier in Basic Combat Training where PVT Manning’s parents served as Drill Sergeants. To add to the story, PVT Manning’s father also worked in SFC Olivas’ battery S-3 shop. Years later, SFC Olivas now has the honor of helping guide the next generation of that same military family into service.

Moments like these are a reminder that the Army is more than a profession—it is a family connected across generations through service, sacrifice, leadership, and mentorship.

Congratulations to PVT Manning on taking this important step. We wish him the very best as he heads to Fort Carson for his first duty station and begins his Army career. The future is bright, and we look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes.

Today we honor the fallen, the ones who served before us and the ones who served beside us. They gave the ultimate sacrifice. Remember that freedom is only free because of them, and they paid their lives for it. Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of every Soldier, every Marine, every Sailor and Airman who died protecting it.

We give great appreciation to the 11 Army Future Soldiers and 3 Marine Poolees who joined us to honor the fallen, and conduct their Oath of Enlistment on this sacred day.

By taking that oath, you accepted a commitment greater than yourself — to serve, protect, and stand ready to defend this country and the people in it. Memorial Day is a powerful reminder of the legacy you are stepping into and the sacrifices made by those who wore the uniform before you.

Thank you to Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park for allowing us to be apart of this again. We look forward to continuing the tradition and joining you all again.

Today we also said goodbye for the last time as a Soldier to our very own headhunter SFC Goss!
SFC Goss has served for 20 years in the United States Army, initially as an 11B Infantryman, with multiple deployments to IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN, and then he completed the rest of his service as a Recruiter in USAREC and USARD.

Congratulations SFC Goss, you’ve finally made it to Fort Couch!

The Huntsville Headhunters said farewell to their very own SFC Reescano, she is taking her talents to Saipan, Guam 🇬🇺

Congratulations on being awarded #1 Station Commander in Houston Battalion! SFC Reese has accomplished more than most, Morrell recipient, coined by the Undersecretary of War, awarded the The Meritorious Service Medal, #1 Staion, #1 Recruiter across BN and BDE several times, the list goes on.

We are sad to see you go but happy to send you off to go be great somewhere else!

Early morning, boots laced up, and no excuses — today we took on the Army Fitness Test. 💪🇺🇸

It’s more than just reps and run times… it’s discipline, resilience, and pushing past limits when your body says stop but your mind says keep going. Every drop of sweat earned today counts toward becoming stronger, faster, and better than yesterday.

No matter the scores, we showed up and put in the work — and that’s what separates the average from the committed.
