I've always been very open and honest about my cancer journey. Now I want to share with you something that is equally important and impactful.
Many people will walk this path, and many will walk beside those who are on the path. Cancer and chemo are hard and they take things from you, make you uncomfortable, drain your energy, deplete your appetite, and you just feel bad. But with the help of organizations like the American Cancer Society, this journey doesn't have to be a financial hardship. Patient support is a core part of their mission.
This year there is a focus on childhood cancer research. No child should have to endure this disease. If you survived your battle with cancer. If you are or have been a caregiver for a cancer patient. If your family has been touched by cancer, I ask you to join me on August 8 for the Hope Gala. As a Huntsville community, we can certainly do our part to walk with families who are enduring this diagnosis.
I am honored to serve as the 2026 emcee, (and a 2025 honoree). I will also be a sponsor of this event. I'm buying a table at the event and I want to see you there showing your support! Let me know in the comments who's coming and who needs a ticket 💙.
