When I started my basketball program. I had a few goals.

1. Build credibility without youth. So they would feel comfortable talking to me not only about their dreams and goals, but also about the issues they were going through.
2. Build a network of people that I could introduce the youth to. So, they would have resources to go after whatever their dreams were.
3. Connect the youth that follow me with professionals in different industries to help reduce the time it takes to become successful.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT 2023 is a combination of all my goals. This event will be the beginning of a series of conferences I will have that will EMPOWER our youth. These conferences are designed to help develop the mindset and arouse the ambition needed to be successful.

Basketball was my tool to gain influence. Now I get to use that influence to impact the lives of my people for the better. The odds of playing Division 1 sports or Professional sports aren’t high enough for me. I want my kids involved in things where the percentages of success are higher.

I support my kids in whatever they want to do. So, if sports is what is on their heart. I will support them all the way. But in doing so, I have also created a safety net for them that will get them to the same destination or higher.

I look forward to all the lives these events will touch and all of the ideas that are brought to life by supporting our young people.
